L'ETNA

Etna is the largest active volcano in Europe, a UNESCO heritage site.
Go up by cable car to an altitude of 3000 meters and visit the craters and lava fields, cross the ski slopes, go trekking among lava deserts and birch woods but always looking at the sea just a few kilometers away ... these are experiences that will make you feel unique emotions and unforgettable.

CATANIA

DISTANCE FROM THE STRUCTURE 30 MINUTES.
The baroque of its historic center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
To visit the entire historic center and in particular: the Roman Theater, the Ursino Castle, the historic fish market and the adjacent Piazza Duomo with the cathedral, Palazzo Biscari and Via Crociferi.

TAORMINA

DISTANCE FROM THE STRUCTURE: 60 MINUTES.
One of the most famous tourist destinations in the world.
In the morning you can swim in the charming Isola Bella beach. In the afternoon, along the main street between the Villa Comunale and the Greek Theater, you can visit the historic center and go shopping in its elegant shops. Finally, in the evening, sitting in one of the many real outdoor lounges, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful and famous views between Etna and the sea.

SIRACUSA

DISTANCE FROM THE STRUCTURE: 60 MINUTES.
After an hour's journey from Boscoscuro we arrive in Syracuse.
The flourishing past (Greek but not only) can be admired in Ortigia, the islet in the center of the city: among the many monuments you can appreciate the remains of the Temple of Apollo, the Greek walls and the Baroque Cathedral.
Do not miss the archaeological area of Neapolis, the famous Greek Theater (an authentic jewel of historical and cultural value), the Paolo Orsi Archaeological Museum - one of the main archaeological museums in Europe - and the caves of Dionysus

NOTO

DISTANCE FROM THE STRUCTURE 75 MINUTES.
After the terrible earthquake of 1693 that completely destroyed the old city of Noto, the new city was rebuilt under the guidance of the Duke of Camastra, who then represented the Spanish Viceroy, using the richly carved local stone of a color between gold and pink.
The streets of the city are interspersed with spectacular squares, imposing stairways, churches and noble palaces that connect terraces and slopes.
Defined as the "capital of the Baroque", in 2002 its historic center was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, together with the other late Baroque cities of the Val di Noto.

ACIREALE AND THE IONIAN COAST

The "Gardens" of orange trees overlooking the high Timpa overlooking a very blue sea.
The rocky coast with the black Faraglioni and their legends that date back to the Greek myths of Homer.
The Aci Castle built on an ancient extinct volcano and its millenary history.
This and much more can be discovered in these 20 km of coastline which, between history, myths, legends and a nature of great beauty and charm, takes us to Taormina.

GORGES OF THE ALCANTARA RIVER

DISTANCE FROM THE STRUCTURE: 75 MINUTES.
In these gorges where the water flows between prismatic lava walls up to over 30 meters high, you can enjoy yourself from river trekking to body rafting.
A truly unique geological and naturalistic spectacle where the river has carved a narrow breathtaking channel about 6 km long in the volcanic basalt which, amidst extraordinary reflections and glistens of the water on the black walls of lava stone, will leave you amazed.

THE WINE ROUTE OF ETNA

The road that surrounds the volcano not only combines fascinating landscapes and traditions but, with its more than 20 wineries that are part of the "Etna Wine Route", represents an unmissable route for those who love food and wine culture.
The Etna vineyards enjoy unique and ideal conditions:
• the land is exposed on both sides of the mountain in the south and in the north;
• they are subjected to considerable thermal excursions;
• the lava land on which they grow is particularly rich in minerals;
• exposure to the sun for almost the whole year allows the cultivation of vines from 400 meters above sea level up to over a thousand (a unique difference in the world between DOC productions).
Here both historic native vines such as the white Carricante and the Nerello Mascalese are grown, as well as international vines such as Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah: all give excellent, balanced and elegant wines.
